Leaf Character: Alternate, simple 1-2" oblong to ovate, slightly sticky, aromatic, gray-green
Flower Type: Solitary heads, 4" ray flowers that close at night, edibles
Color:  from pale yellow to  deep orange
Period: fall and spring
Fruit: achene, pappus absent

Remarks: outstanding for its flowers and foliage, used in containers, as a border, parking strip, for cut flowers and herbal creams
